Found on the Ground

Life is a treasure hunt.

UPDATE: Evil Grape Sword Contest

Congratulations to contest winner Nicole of British Columbia!

You will be receiving the useless trinket pictured below:

Or... Possibly it's this one:

Or this, which might just be the last thing on earth someone in BC needs:

I just don't know.  I bought and wrapped it a long time ago for a present exchange at work, and then forgot to bring it in.

In any case, it's too late to find out now, since I already mailed it to you.  We'll just let Lady Luck decide!

Please allow 4 weeks- eternity for delivery. :)

UPDATE: Evil Grape Sword Contest

Dscn2542

Well, I don't know what this is, and apparently you all don't, either.

So, Nicole, you win!  I'm not entirely convinced it's a corkscrew, but I must admit that is more likely than Evil Grape Sword.

Please stay on the line so that we can be sure you get your hideous... Um, that is, FAB-ulous... prize!

Sorry, you don't get to know what it is until it's already on its way to you.

Congratulations, and thanks for playing everyone's favorite game, "WTF Is That Thing?"

Contest- Sword for Evil Grapes?

Dscn2542

What the heck is this??

The hilt of a knife?  A letter-opener?  A sword for evil grapes?

But right where a blade would start, you can see that it branches off in a Y shape at the top there.

Convince me of what this is, and you'll probably win something horrible yet fascinating!

Kate is a Winner

A few days ago, I asked if anyone knew what this is:

Dscn2079_1
(Not the coffee, the metal thing in the back.)

I promised a prize to whomever figured it out.  Now, I don't know what you've heard around town, but Found on the Ground always keeps its ill-conceived promises.

Kate C. said it was a hand-held blender.

And since:

a) I am unable to confirm this
b) There are no other contestants

...congratulations Kate C., you are the winner of everyone's favorite game, "What the Hell is That?!"

You have won all the Christmas and birthday presents I bought you but have not gotten around to sending since 2004.  Some of it is candy and I am not sure if it is candy anymore, so I might throw that part out when I find it.

Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
